“In support of children with severe illnesses and disabilities” is the theme of this year’s edition of The Bulgarian Christmas Charity Initiative.

This year the campaign’s goal is to help children with severe illnesses and disabilities by providing state of the art high tech equipment and supporting the complex care for them.

Thanks to the empathy of virtuous Bulgarians, the fifteenth edition of The Bulgarian Christmas in support of the saved child’s life disposed with a budget of BGN 2 600 000. The campaign was set out to help and improve the prolonged treatment and active rehabilitation of the children. With the amount of nearly BGN 700 000, 505 children were assisted in treatment and rehabilitation. Also, equipment for 22 medical institutions from all over the state – university and multiprofile hospitals, rehabilitation centers and homes for medical and social care, was purchased, amounting to BGN 1 790 000.
